How to put your website online

One button publishes the site. Share the live link right away, then connect the domain you already own, or buy one when you are ready. Your business email is never touched.

Go live in four steps

  1. Step 1

    Make your website

You answer a few questions (or give us your current website). We write and design the site. You check it, change anything you like. Nothing is public yet.

  2. Step 2

    Press “Put it online”

One button. A live link appears, secure (https) from the start. Share it today.

  3. Step 3

    Connect your own domain

Need a domain? We suggest Porkbun; a .com usually costs about $10 to $20 a year. Already own one? Pick the company you pay for it. The builder shows the one website setting to add there and leaves your email settings alone. Need help connecting your domain? Our support team will walk you through it by email.

  4. Step 4

Wait until the builder says Connected

Press “Check” next to your domain. Until it says Connected and your domain shows the lock icon, keep sharing the live link, so customers never see a warning page.

Where to find the button

Open your websites, choose the one you want to publish, and press Put it online. The live link appears right there.

Open my websites

Until your own domain shows the lock icon, share the live link the builder gives you. If a browser says “Not secure” on your domain, the connection is still finishing. Wait a few minutes and check again.

Download both: a copy of your website files (ZIP) works with any other web host, and the backup copy opens your site again inside our builder.

Moving an existing website

Build privately. Switch the address last.

  1. 1. Read the current sitePaste its public address and confirm you have permission to move its content.
  2. 2. Choose what comes overReview business details, services, contact information, photos, search text, and old page addresses.
  3. 3. Test the replacementPublish to your free simpleasite.com link, check it on a phone and computer, and send a real contact-form message.
  4. 4. Connect the domainChange only the one website setting the builder shows you. Keep the old plan active until the new address and email both work.

Changes, refunds, and leaving

Can I change my website later?
Yes, any time. Open your websites, press Edit website, and change words, photos, services, hours, colors, or the style. Then press Update the live website on the Put it online page. There is no extra charge.
Can I change the colors or fonts?
Turn on More design options and open the Look tab. A Look changes the colors, fonts, and shapes together in one tap. The main color changes the buttons, links, and color bands.
Can customers ask for a time or pay online?
Yes. A business that takes appointments gets a Preferred day and Time of day on its contact form, or, if you set your weekly hours on the Contact tab, a list of exact open times. Requests arrive in your messages with Confirm this time, Add to my calendar, and a ready-made confirmation email; a confirmed time is no longer offered on your website. For payments, paste a payment link from Stripe, Square or PayPal next to a service (Services tab) and that service shows a Pay online button. If you use a booking page such as Calendly, add it on the Contact tab instead.
Can my website have more pages?
Yes. Under the editor, Make it a full website builds pages for your services, the towns you serve and contact from what you already entered, plus pages of your own. Preview it, put it online, download it as a ZIP, or show it on your own domain instead of the one-page site.
How do I get my money back?
14-day money-back guarantee. Use the refund page with the email you paid with (the license key fills itself in on the device you used). After a refund your license stops, and websites published with us come down. Files you already downloaded stay yours.
How do I leave and take my website with me?
On the Put it online page, step 4, download your website files (they work on any web host) and your editable backup. You never need our permission, and your domain and email stay yours.
How do I delete my information?
Delete a website from Your websites, More options. To have your cloud backup, published websites, and customer messages erased from our servers, write support@simpleasite.com from the email you paid with.

If something looks stuck

I already have a domain from somewhere else.
Put the site online first. Then choose “I already have a name from somewhere else,” type yourbusiness.com, and pick the company you pay for the domain each year. The builder shows the one setting to add there, word for word, for www.yourbusiness.com. Do not change anything else, and do not delete any email settings.
yourbusiness.com without www does not open the new site.
The builder connects www.yourbusiness.com. To make the short address work too, sign in at the company you pay for the domain, look for Forwarding or Redirect, and forward yourbusiness.com to https://www.yourbusiness.com (choose Permanent or 301 if it asks). If your domain is with Wix or Squarespace, do this before you cancel the old website plan. Still stuck? Email our support team with the name of your domain company, and we reply with the exact steps.
The builder asks you to buy again.
You are on a different computer or in a private window. Nothing is lost: open the link in your purchase email and your websites come back from their cloud backup. Send me the link again.

Our support team

Write support@simpleasite.com from the email you paid with and include your live link. Never send your license key; it works like a password. We reply by email, usually within a few hours and almost always within one business day.

If anything does not work the way it should, our support team will make it right.
