Squarespace raised its prices in 2026: what it costs now, and your options
Short answer: Squarespace raised its yearly-billed plans in July 2026: Basic from $16 to $19 a month, Core from $23 to $29, Plus from $39 to $49. Core now costs about $348 a year. Your options are to stay, move down a plan, or move to a one-time website.
In July 2026 Squarespace customers started getting emails about higher prices. If your renewal is coming up, here is what changed and what it adds up to.
The new prices
Prices per month when billed yearly, as reported by PetaPixel on July 17, 2026:
- Basic: $16 to $19 a month (up 19%).
- Core: $23 to $29 a month (up 26%).
- Plus: $39 to $49 a month (up 26%).
- Advanced: unchanged at $99 a month.
What that adds up to
Basic billed yearly is now about $228 a year, or about $684 over three years. Core is about $348 a year, or about $1,044 over three years. Those totals are before your domain, and they continue for as long as the site is online.
Your three options
If you move, keep your domain: it is registered separately from your Squarespace plan, and our guide shows how to leave Squarespace without losing it.
- Stay, and budget for the new price at your next renewal.
- Move down a plan if you don't use what the higher plan adds.
- Move your site to a one-time website and stop the monthly bill.
The one-time option
simple a site. rebuilds your current website for $129 once, with covered hosting at $0 for ordinary business websites. Paste your Squarespace address and see the new version free before you pay. The domain still renews separately. Covered hosting includes the built-in menus, shops, bookings and order requests; large stores with inventory systems, memberships and custom apps may need another solution.
